Road Closure on SW Country Club Drive Begins Oct. 6
A section of SW Country Club Drive will close Oct. 6 through Nov. 10, 2025, for underground utility work in the roadway. This is not a Benton County project, but utility work in the County’s right of way for the Corvida subdivision within the City of Corvallis.
The closure will be in effect on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. The road will be open evenings (6 p.m. to 7 a.m.) and all day on weekends. “Road work ahead” signs are in place on Country Club Dr. both east and west of the work zone and flaggers should be in place while workers are present.
The work zone is located about 1,500 feet east of the intersection of U.S. 20 and Country Club Drive. A signed detour route will be posted to guide drivers around the closure. Travelers are advised to plan ahead, follow detour signs and allow extra time for travel.
Recommended detours for businesses on Country Club at Philomath Blvd.
With heavy traffic on Philomath Blvd., it can be difficult to make the sharp left turn onto Country Club Dr. when westbound. Community members who access Fitness Over 50 and Shonnard’s Nursery from Country Club might consider one of these detours to avoid the tricky turn.
OPTION 1: Starting from SW 53rd Street north of Highway 20.
OPTION 2: Starting from SW 53rd Street south of Highway 20.
